Return of concession agreements and reimbursements

A private citizen who holds a concession for a burial niche, a cemetery area for a private tomb or for other cemetery facilities and no longer intends to utilise it may apply to the Municipal Administration for a "return of the concession", with the Administration determining the amount to be paid to the individual for the period in which the item was not utilised.

In cases where a private cemetery facility (a tomb or chapel) is returned to the Municipal Administration, AMA-Cemeteries of Rome may assign it a new concession-holder, having first held an auction open to public scrutiny, and assuming that all the necessary acts have been prepared.
